Name: Richard
Canon: Right after being banished by the Sisters to the 'Plane of Suck'.

Title: Richard has a bunch of titles. Here they are:
-Chief Warlock of the Brothers of Darkness
-Lord of the Thirteen Hells
-Master of the Bones
-Emperor of the Black
-Lord of the Undead
-Mayor of a Little Village Up the Coast
-Lord of the Dance

Background:
Very little is known about Richard's past before he is introduced in the comic. What is known is that he was the son of a lord, who enjoyed tending the gardens of their estate. Sometime after that, he was cursed. No details about said curse have been revealed as of yet. He then became mayor of a small village - who also were turned undead like himself. At some point his familiar, an imp named Elttil Hctib got away from him. And last but not least, Richard is seen to have something to do with Cale being chased out of the monastery he grew up in, and was charged with watching over him.

Richard first met Cale when he was giving speech about being an adventurer and hero. So Richard took it upon himself to explain that Cale was supposed to be evil, and gave a nifty little demonstration. Cale disagrees and attacks Richard, who shields himself with a couple of innocent bystanders. Cale, shocked, gives up after killing one of them. Richard introduces himself, and Cale makes fun of him, calling him 'Dick'. And promptly gets incinerated. Somehow Cale survives as a pile of ash, and Richard brings him to the village of Nestorep to find a healer. In the local tavern, they find the troll priestess Ben'joon who agrees to revive Cale. They're interrupted by commander Aelloon, who was also looking for her. She manages to revive Cale, and the trio promptly lay waste to Aelloon's troops and escape. However, their escape is cut off by a dragon of the legion...until Krunch Bloodrage tackles it and rescues them. They escape into a network of tunnels in a nearby mountain and are captured by gnomes, led by Chief Engineer Toyk, who offers them the location of the fabled Sword of Truth if they manage to kill the troll lord Stoll.

Needless to say, they get captured by the trolls. Richard and Ben'joon are imprisoned in the 'pit of despair'. When the gnomes attack, Richard uses the distraction to leap out and promptly slay the guards in hand-to-hand combat, stating that he drained the soul of a monk once. The group barely escapes and takes refuge in some ruins. They find a spirit and a young girl who take Cale back in time briefly. Richard and the others fend off elven bandits for several days until he returns, and finds a way to look for the city of Kethenecia. They gain transport via a pirate ship. The trip to the next continent takes a month, although during the trip they are attacked by more of Aelloon's men. They arrive at the Ketten Wastelands, the land where Kethenecia was said to have been located. Whilst trekking through the desert, they are ambushed by a sand dragon. Richard attacks it with fire and turns it into glass, before Krunch shatters it. Cale strikes the dragon's eyes, which reveal the city to them.

They enter the city, only to find it is empty save for a single elf. Tavor. Richard, after Ben'joon goads him on, uses quite a display of power to open a portal into the past. Richard wakes up, having passed out due to overexerting himself. He finds himself in the village of Bertu, where he butchers the entire populace. Richard then makes his way back to Kethenecia in the past, and arrives just in time to stop the traitorous Tavor from killing a powerful archmage. Richard seems to recognize the archmage, but says nothing further. They meet the dwarf Pella, who guides them into the catacombs beneath the city, whom Richard is impressed with. They meet a group of dragon warriors who help defend the city from invaders, however they are quickly beaten back. Cale then discovers the 'anchor' holding Kethenecia's power in the past. A young boy. Cale is forced to kill him, and they are returned to the present. While the rest of the group decides on their next course of action, Richard entertains himself by attempting to tame the remaining sand dragons, although it doesn't go too well.

A villager comes by to request aid against some attacks on a nearby town. The group leaves the city and takes note that the land around it is changing from a desert back into grass, trees, and full of life. On the way to the village, they are attacked by none other than Hctib, Richard's imp. Using an ancient artifact, Hctib transforms Richard into a child. An undead child, but a child nonetheless. Richard is enraged by this, and vows to hunt the treacherous little imp down, but ends up using the moment to try and study the artifact that changed him. The villagers mistake Richard for a normal child...and bring him into the nursery. Big mistake. Apparently Richard thought it was a buffet. Elementals attack the town, and baby Richard is squashed by an enormous fire elemental. Luckily, his companions witnessed it and healed him. He attempts to follow the group out to battle, offering them joke items such as the stick of lies to aid them, but ends up going back to the town. Here, he meets a young child who is frightened of the attack on the village, and asks if Richard is death. He tells the child he used to be, and the child says he doesn't want to die. The building explodes...but Richard conjures a shield of ice that protects the child.

As the battle seems lost, Richard emerges from the rubble, no longer a child. Only an act of selflessness could break the enchantment that had transformed him, and by saving the child he had done so. He then proceeds to make short work out of most of the remaining elementals and flings Hctib out into the land somewhere. Then Richard discovers exactly who was controlling the elementals: the Phares, and ancient elemental force. He seems to find this highly amusing. The Phares, in an attempt to make up for their misguided attack, begin to flood the droughted land. Cale decides to lead the villages to Kethenecia before the water destroys their village, and goads Richard into using the Phares to stop the water once he realizes that they won't make it out in time. Richard succeeds, and they return to Kethenecia. Satisfied that the villagers are now safe, Cale and the group decide to return to Legarion.

Unexpectedly, they discover a fortress being built extending into the northland, which was supposed to be no man's land. However, due to the size of the fortress and number of troopes, they speculate that it is merely a fallback point for an invasion force. Richard and Krunch attack as a diversion for the rest of them to sneak in and capture the leader of the forces. A troop of battlemages arrives, which Richard confidently challenges. And is soon captured along with the rest of the group. Unlike the rest of the group, Richard finds the aesthetics of the prison and torture room pleasing, like a spa. They manage to break out of the prison, although Richard was placed in special magic-warding manacles, rendering him pretty much useless during the breakout. They almost make it out when they are surrounded by guards. It doesn't last long, as several more of the Bloodrage clan arrive and aid them in escaping.

On their way north, Ben'joon chops Richard's arms off, which breaks the enchantment on them. He wanders off and somehow kills an enormous bear and attaches its arms to replace his own before returning to camp and getting his own arms reattached. Then they run into a giant blocking their path, who picks up Richard. Calmly explaining that he means it harm (much to Cale's dismay), Richard attacks it, although not to much effect. Luckily, the Bloodrage manage to kill the giant before it can do much damage to the party. He then attempts to ride one of the Bloodrage, before they all surround him and warn him not to try it again. While Krunch and the rest of the Bloodrage return into their fortress, Richard and the others wait outside. Then they find themselves surrounded by the Sisters, a group of powerful female mages. Then Richard bursts into song, and at the end of the chorus, incinerates a group of them. They got Dick Roll'd. The battle starts to go poorly after that, and the Sisters appear to be summoning reinforcements.

Ray'd Bool, warrior Bloodrage approaches Richard asking for his help to break the Sister's line. Richard agrees, on one condition. Richard rides Ray'd into battle, and joins the Sister's line. Magics don't mix, so it would interrupt their spellcasting. Then Richard realizes something is wrong. They weren't summoning. They were attempting to banish the party. Richard and the group of Sisters vanish, but not without some parting words from him.

Richard finds himself in an empty plane of existence that is pure white. he declares it the 'Plane of Suck' and sits down to figure out what to do next. This is where he will be taken from.

Personality: Richard tends to come across as quite evil, what with his innocent-slaying, and constant desire to kill things. He's also very overconfident, and steps into battle without regard of the odds against him, whether it be dragons, an army, or a squad of battlemages. He's even fought a bear without his arms and won. Most of this probably stems from his near-immortality, but it comes with a price. He has to constantly kill innocents to retain this immortality. He doesn't seem to care much about the killing though, and appears to take great joy in it. The group often gets him to do things by offering him things to kill. For instance, when the Phares begin flooding the village, Cale tells Richard they need to save the people...Richard scoffs at this, until Cale responds that they'll return to Legara and cut a swath of death and destruction the likes of which have never been seen before. His response? "We need to save these people!"

He will rarely do a good deed unless there is some ulterior motive for it. Although even so, most of the time he will only do it for Cale. There was the one time he saved a child however, which hints that there may be a side to Richard that hasn't yet been seen. The Phares hint at this as well. He seems to have somewhat of a soft spot for Cale, going out of his way to help him. It doesn't stop Richard from trying to set him on fire when he calls him Dick, though. Richard very rarely brings up his past, although sometimes he gives hints. (Moreso later on in the story.)

Richard has a very morbid sense of humor. When he kills things, he likes to do it in a comical fashion, such as when he sings randomly while butchering people, or the time he blasted off a gnome sentry's head, painted his hand to look like a face, and made it talk like a puppet. He also tends not to take things seriously unless well, it's an absolute serious matter that involves him.

Evilities:

-(Fire) Most prominently, Richard demonstrates his power over fire. Often referred to as his "fwoosh", varying degrees of flame based attacks seem to be Richard's standard method of devastation.

-(Ice) Though less used than fire, Richard also commands a variety of spells based on ice and cold attributes, such as encasing himself in a large block of ice to shield both himself and Cale from a lava flow, encasing his arm into a blade of ice, and making it hail.

-(Lightning) On rare occasions, Richard has shown the ability to fire bolts of lightning from his hands.

-(Necromancy) Richard has on occasion shown that he can control the skeletal remains of enemy combatants(or more specifically, he can force his enemy's skeleton to rip off it's own skin and then fight at Richard's command). He has stated that he "drained the soul of a monk once". He has also sealed the souls of people he has killed into cards.

-(Portals) Though he doesn't seem able to create portals at will, Richard has the ability to power already existing portals. He does demonstrate the ability to control space/time while trapped on the Plane of suck, but it is unknown whether or not this is one of his regular abilities, or something unique to the Plane, as Richard himself was unsure of his ability to use these powers.

-(Possession) Richard has the ability to inhabit the bodies of others, through the use of the magical gem that he wears. He has also shown the ability to use his gem to possess inanimate objects such as the gem attached to Tavor's crown. When possessing others, he retains control of his other powers.

-(Materialization) He has also shown the ability to materialize his magic into solid form such as creating arrows with his mind and creating an air tight bubble which was chained to his body. When he does this skill the object is green indicating that it is most likely magic that has been shaped into a physical form rather than actually creating a physical object.

-(Near Immortality) Richard has been shown to been hundreds of years old, has survived numerous normally fatal injuries such as being decapitated or having holes in his chest, and has even survived an axe to the brain, a normally fatal wound for an undead. It is important to note however, that Richard is not truly immortal. This is demonstrated in the Plane of suck when Richard uses his new found time/space powers to create copies of himself, only to murder them moments later. It has also been revealed that Richard must kill innocents to retain his immortality otherwise he starts bleeding like everyone else.

-(Hand to Hand Combat) Richard has demonstrated knowledge of martial arts which he gained from draining an unknown monk's soul. He has also shown to have some knowledge of pressure points. He usually demonstrates his physical prowess when he finds himself either unable to use magic, or is fighting against something impervious to magic such as a Blargh.

-(Immense Strength) When Richard's magic was sealed during the demon trial, Richard was still able to rip one of the demonic bailiffs in half using only his bare hands. Also, he was able to kill a bear and rip off its arms when he himself did not have his own arms attached to his body. He has sharp nails to along with his strength such as when he cut a dwarf open so he could place Cale within the corpse. When fighting against Tavor's guards he ripped off various organs from any soldier who came within his vicinity.

Inventory:
-Money? Richard has none.
-Richard's Amulet (This is his gem that allows him to possess or store some of his power in for later use.)

-Pillaging Shovel (Just an ornate, ordinary little shovel)
-Bear Arms (The arms he ripped off a bear without the use of his own)
-Fork of Truth (An ordinary fork he uses to mock the Sword of Truth)

-Sword of 77% Probability, Sword of Maybe, Maybe not., Sword of Mostly Falsehoods, Stick of Lies (A collection of swords and a stick that he somehow carries around with him. Hammerspace ftw?)

Notes: Richard is going to be constantly pestering the Dark Assembly for innocents to kill. And to join them. :D

[Action]

[Shortly after arriving in the Netherworld, Richard finds himself wandering about the school grounds. Well, this place was so much better than the Plane of Suck. There were things to do, people to kill, and awesome exploding penguin things! Speaking of which, he picks up a nearby Prinny and punts it off into the distance, where it lands with a satisfying little explosion. Richard chuckles at this, before moving on.]

This place is fun!

[Someone attempts to sneak past the warlock, and almost gets away with it. FWOOOOOSH! And they're now on fire, running around and screaming like a maniac.]

Heheh.

[And that's a very amused looking warlock. This place was just full of evil and awesome. How had he never heard of it before? Now he's going to randomly approach people.]

Could you point me towards the nearest orphanage?
